This Saturday.

Yep, my nephew has his District Race this Saturday, we just got back from doing some work and tweaking the cars at the weigh in. All we really could do was add more graphite to the wheels and hope that will help speed it up at District, since it took 5th at the Pack races, after being the ONLY car to take first place in all 4 qualifying races before that back in January.

We did notice the front right wheel wasn't spinning as efficiently as the other 3, we couldn't do much, since the nail didn't want to come out of the pre-cut groove, and to keep from breaking the wheel and getting disqualified, we opted to leave it as it is and hope it doesn't drag the car down too much at District, we did get it to spin a little more efficiently, but not too much more, so all we can really do is wait and see.

My nephew was also called the "Fastest Tiger in the Pack," since he's a Tiger Scout with the only car that came in 1st in all 4 of its qualifying races, and the only Tiger Scout to get to district. Helluva feat, if all he actually did was a little sanding when it was being made, and putting graphite on the wheels then and at weigh in earlier - I did the hard work on it. I didn't trust him with a Saw, I feel he's just a tad too young to be handling a hacksaw (He's 7 now, he was 6 when the car was made and raced). Heck, I can't even trust his step-father to handle a hacksaw, let alone with being intelligent. (The guy is a goddamned idiot, and it pisses me off to no ends. He makes George W. Bush seem like a fucking super-genius 98% of the time, and the last 2% he's right at GW's level).
