It didn't win anything. At District it lost all 4 of its races and didn't make finals.

The other cars from the pack races didn't far too much better. One car that had beat my nephews had also lost all 4 of its races, another managed 1st once and lost the rest, one guy didn't get his weighed and registered on Wednesday and was disqualified because of it. And the last one managed 4th place overall. Not too bad, actually, I wasn't really surprised the car was losing though, there wasn't much that could be done about that.

Likely, if we had added more graphite initially before the pack races, my nephew would have had a bigger trophy with a higher placing. But he made district, and that just fuckin' rocks right there.

I can't believe they ran the damn thing in the MALL of all places, right out in front of JCPenny, just a tad too noisy there, and it echo's more than an empty auditorium.

One awesome thing though...

One guy had built up a Renegade Class car, weighed up around 10 ounces, damn thing was done up as a 1800's Freight Train Locomotive. It kept tying for second in the Renegade Class races(Which, really, could be considered truly last place anyway, considering only 3 cars were registered in it), it was fun to watch. He also installed a LED light on the front of it, where you press a button and it lights up, and if you pressed it again, some smoke would come out the stack.
