Angel of Life - EDITED by AceDarkfire Angel of Life - EDITED by AceDarkfire
Had to resubmit it, editing the image wouldn't take the new version.

Sorry for those who faved it and commented. :(

Edit
And... I realized now... I was trying to edit the old version... with the old version. :O_o:
Early morning, don't know if I should feel stupid, or try to shuffle the blame to not being a morning person.

EDIT 2
I made her ear a little larger.

EDIT 3
Ear revised, made larger (probably a little too big).
Adjustment to fold line-weight.

I just love this picture. I don't care about technicalities, it just looks so harmonic, and makes me feel warm inside. I rarely get that from handdrawn pictures, which really says something about how well I liked this one. Keep up the good work.

Your shading is great. :) I think it would nice if you had a central light source for the shadows, but as it is, I like the overall work on the skin.

To be honest, I was just wanting to go for something that looked good, however the idea of a central lightsource isn't a bad idea.

Though I'll probably do another picture similar to this one in the future... provided I get any inspiration to do so, and most likely do the central light-source idea for it.

This is nice, would be even nicer if the shading was darker in places to define it more.

Hmm... I may fiddle with the shading later, I dunno...

I definetly like this one, if you add a black bold edge to the entire image square, this would look even better, i like her face and wings a lot.

Nice shading and the pattern of the wing looks interesting too. However, there's a few things I want to criticize; ear and the wrinkle on the arm of her shirt.

First, the ear, I found it's somewhat a little too small but the real problem of it is that it's located quite lower than where it should be. Usually the inner of ear shell on that attaches to the face, the upper part of it should be at the same level as the middle of the eye width. In case this, it ought to locate even higher than the middle of eye width because from the angle of her face it seems that she's tilting her face downward. When we tilt our face up or down from the typical straight frontal level, the ear won't move with the face; the part that really changes the level is the chin. That's why when the face tilts downward we'll see the ear locates higher than the usual level(middle of the eye) and lower than normal when the face lifts up.

About the wrinkles on the arm of her shirt, the shading is nice but the lines make they look stiff. That's cause the weight of the lines is all the same from the beginning to the end. Normally the wrinkles have different depths along the direction they lay across; depends on the anatomy and movement. Maybe you can try fading the end of the lines some more and they could look better.

I'm already well aware of that, but I'm no longer going to touch this one.
